Silas actually conducting?!? Wow.
LOVE AND ENVY.
Oh. My. Goodness. Mew HAVE to come down under. If they played even half those songs I’d be a happyhappyhappy girl – that’s more or less my dream setlist. And Snowflake…. SNOWFLAKE. Arghhhhh
Why wasn’t I there? Why?!
Ahhh well, one day… Glad you frengers loved it though and got to see it and hang out n stuff. Love you guys. <3
WOW,I guessed it was Lords of Destruction!
To be honest, I thought everything about sounded so weird ad secret that I supposed Mew actually could be Lords of Destruction, and it just was something else they called themselves or had as a side project.
Last time when I saw Mew, they also played Cartoons.. instead of CS. It’s a good song, but still a little dissapointed.
And when the audience stands up and applaud them, we all expected to get at least one encore. But hey – we got Lords of Destruction! Though nobody knew back then..
Btw Mewx, the intro to Special at the first show was Hymn as far as I could hear – am i right (/wry)? ;)I’m talking about the song where Silas is the only one at stage.
Emma, can’t be. Otherwise I would’ve written it down as Hymn.
The Fox Orchestra – if you will – was a medley of Mew’s hits (like Zookeeper) in weird orchestral interpretations.
I’m going to cry… I’m at work, I can’t watch youtube, and I can’t see the pictures… but reading all your comments my friends, I do believe that yesterdays gig was so EPIC and our baby Silas as a symphony director :’) thanks for sharing all this as always!
Silvia.
btw…
Snowflake, Silas the magic car and Eight Flew Over, One Was Destroyed!!! please, someone kill me!!!
I simply loved the show (at 18) – but damm…. Brought a friend who I introduced to Mew a few months back and she loves CS as well… So we were both very disappointed. We really, really wanted to hear Comforting Sounds in this venue…

A tour de force piece of writing, and with photos to match. Thanks!
Thanks, Lars.
This is by far the greatest Mew concert, I think.
With Silas as a conductor (is it true?? still can’t believe it!), Snowflake, Lords of Destruction, long and incredibly amazing setlist..whoaaah!
This is perfect!
Envy you guys so much in Copenhagen! But thanks for sharing to us! It’s amazing! 😀
