The European Tour has kicked off from Germany with three shows (Hamburg, Berlin and Cologne). The smallest show in years (for approx. 50 attendees) in Luxembourg was held yesterday and tonight Mew will play in Belgium. Here are the last two setlists if you don’t mind spoilers.

Silas the Magic Car was written on the Luxembourg setlist as well, but was not played. The show itself was quickly moved to a smaller venue and (as previously mentioned) it was definitely the tiniest European gig Mew have played in years. Beach is longer live than on the album (there is a solo in between the last two choruses) and surprisingly… Repeaterbeater, being the most current music video, has become a live rarity pretty fast. According to various sources, the supporting acts were Siva (Berlin), Davidsson (Cologne) and Mutiny on the Bounty (Luxembourg), Hamburg show didn’t have any.
“Thank you so much, Germany! That was superb! These are the kinds of experiences that make me wonder why we don’t play there more often!?” – Jonas Bjerre (Mewwire / Twitter)
Okey, I’ve said before that I will not complain on the setlists as long as they always end with Comforting Sounds… It is the perfect ending and I think they still should end with it!
What’s going on with the Mew Forum. I keep getting an error message when I try to access it…
Mewsite is down for everybody. Hopefully it will be back up soon.
Dammit! Hawaii and Shespider as opening! – Would be awesome if they did that at their coming show in Copenhagen as well!
Cool.
No Cartoons or Repeaterbeater?! But they still have time to play WLK, Shelter and Swanky. They should think about changing that. And Zookeeper’s is no ending.
But not playing repeaterbeater which has had some promotion (video, performance on senkveld)and is only two and a half minutes is unexplainable. They must just not like that song anymore.
Drooooool… interesting setlists indeed.
They should play Australia and New Zealand. Mewstralia campaign ftw!!
My favourite encore is the combo of the long version of Special and Comforting Sounds. Definitely not a fan of the idea of Zookeeper as the last song. I really hope they play Repeaterbeater in Seattle or Vancouver!
Hi Jonas,
yes you´re right, not too often in germany, hope you will be back earlier this time, lat time it was too long 4,5 years are faaaarrrr to long 😉
For Luxembourg, Beach (long version) was played at the end of the set.
Encore on the setlist was Silas + Comforting Sounds. They only played Comforting.
Hmm…
Yeah and 156 is not on your list too 😉

Taking your word for it… Fixed.
i think zookeeper’s boy as a last song is an amazing thing.
it’s my fave song… maybe that is why.
