Mew has announced to be playing at this Summer’s Vanguard Music Festival in early August. This new festival will be held for the second time this year (in Copenhagen) and it is expected that the same new songs can be heard here as at Northside Festival earlier this month. Tickets for these two-day festivities (August 1st and 2nd) cost 1100DKK and one-day tickets go for 700DKK (Mew will play on Friday). Lineup also includes such acts as Babyshambles, The Roots and George Clinton. The festival has two big stages and bands don’t play at the same time, so you are able to catch all acts if you wish to do so.

It’d be fun to see Mew at a festival with Method Man/Red Man, The Pharcyde, The Roots, Seun Kuti etc.
Choir of Young Believers are quite good too.
I saw that this will be a one day festival to me. I’m fine with Friday: George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Babyshambles, Neneh Cherry with RocketNumberNine, Choir of Young Believers. I may have forgotten something important. Hmm… 🙂
