Last year, the former bass player of Mew, Johan Wohlert told us that he has no idea how the new album of Mew will be written without his effort. Jonas Bjerre talked to Gaffa-magazine and this is something he had to say about it:
“It has meant very much for our internal psychology. You’re used to communicate in a specific way, and when you’re only three (people), you have to find a new way to do it. But that’s life – you won’t get through it without having to adapt yourself. Technically speaking, it has also meant something, because when you’re building the framework of a song, something has to carry the progression and the bass does that really well – especially if you make key notes – so I have played a lot of that on piano.”
If you can read Danish, here’s the whole interview.
Johan… who is Johan?
